I always love the resort collections. Being between spring/summer and fall/winter, these collections always seem more unconventional, daring and perfect individual interpretations of casual (holiday) chic. My favorites this season?
1. Proenza Schouler, for the perfect mix of fabrics and the amazing fits and silhouettes. The oversized jackets and colored clutches are to die for.
2. Peter Pilotto. He knows how to do prints. That and the amazing cut of the dresses (high neckline, short sleeves) makes me crave every single piece of his collection.
3. 10 Crosby Derek Lam. Clean cuts with an interesting use of materials. Love the jacket with the black sleeves and the woolen pants.

What's your favorite resort collection?

No one does a 'portable closet' better than Miroslava Duma. As a globetrotting, website-owning fashion journalist, she travels all over the world and doesn't always have access to her entire (undoubtedly huge) wardrobe. Though when the people from The Coveteur knocked on her hotelroom door in The Plaza New York, they must've thought they died and had gone to heaven. The smart, literature loving Russian showed us her on the go items which feature some amazing Marni statement necklaces, vintage sunglasses, a quilted Chanel backpak, an Opening Ceremony vest and so much more that makes me drool all over my Macbook. So dear miss Duma, wherever you are right now, I'm definitely trading places with you!
