paris

A wise woman named Audrey Hepburn once said: "Paris is always a good idea" and I don't think I have to explain to you that I couldn't agree more. One of the things I find most intriguing about this amazing city is the architecture. Every building is magical, with the curly details and cute little balconies. Not to mention the overload of little windows and the huge mysterious doors. And of course the Eiffeltower (that at it's time was considered 'unnecessary' and even 'ugly'), that still impresses me every single time I see it.

Just got back from Paris this weekend and I'm missing it already. Did a lot of shopping, chilling at Jardin des Tuileries in the perfect sunny weather, visited the Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs exposition, watched the Eiffeltower by night, ate crêpes and macaroons, strolled down Le Marais and so much more. And as pictures say more than a thousand words, they are coming your way asap ;)

les macarons

Last night I decided to pay the boyfriend a surprise visit and I didn't come empty handed, as you can see. Since our anniversary is the first of July (today, actually), I decided to make our favorite French treat together: les macarons! As I am not a very good baker, I cheated a little and bought a box that contained almost everything we needed to make 12 little pieces of heaven. It turned out to be very simple to make them and yes, they taste as good as they look. Now, who wants a bite? ;)
